LUSCHER
Paul W. Luscher is an associate attorney with Young, Cohen & Durrett, LLP. Having decided on a legal career early on, Mr. Luscher, while earning his Bachelor of Arts degree at California State University, Sacramento, interned with the Sacramento County District Attorney’s office. Subsequently, while attending McGeorge School of Law, he worked for the U.S. Attorney’s office in Sacramento. After graduating from McGeorge, he engaged in general practice and was a legal writer for Matthew Bender. For the past quarter century, however, Mr. Luscher has specialized in the practice of California workers’ compensation law, engaged mainly in defense work. In the course of his practice, he has appeared before all the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Boards in Northern and Central California. He is not only familiar with general workers’ compensation law, but has also dealt with issues of Serious and Willful misconduct actions, Labor Code Section 132a claims, penalty issues, lien claims, asbestos litigation, contribution, and subrogation issues.
