ANGELICA MARTINEZ

Angelica Martinez is an Associate Attorney at Young, Cohen & Durrett. Angelica was raised in Mountain View, California. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies and Political Economy. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor in 2020 from Santa Clara University School of Law. She was admitted to the California Bar in January 2021.

Before attending law school, Angelica worked at a boutique immigration law firm in San Jose as a paralegal. During law school, Angelica interned at the San Francisco City Attorney’s office, externed at the office of Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, was a research assistant, and participated in the Immigration Law Clinic at Santa Clara Law School.

 

After graduating from law school she practiced both immigration and campaign finance law. Angelica became the Lead Attorney for the Humanitarian Department at a Bay Area based law firm. While working there she honed her skills in working closely with clients to meet their objectives. At another firm, she later obtained experience working with political organizations and analyzed fundraising requirements which were constantly changing.  These professional experiences helped her learn the importance of strong client communication, responsiveness and attention to detail so the best outcomes for clients could be obtained. 

 

Angelica’s life outside of the office revolves around her family and spending time with her dogs.
