Kyle R. Hansen

Kyle R. Hansen is an associate attorney with Young, Cohen & Durrett, bringing over 20 years of workers compensation expertise to the firm. Kyle was born and raised in Sacramento. He earned his Juris Doctorate in 1994 from University Of The Pacific-McGeorge School of Law. After law school, Kyle worked as a Human Resources Director for a large local dairy processing company. This provided him with a unique foundation and perspective for understanding the challenges employers face in dealing with workers’ compensation issues in California.

That foundation and prior employment has been parleyed into practicing in the field of workers’ compensation. He has worked at a few large statewide defense firms representing various insurance carriers and self-insured employers in all aspects of workers’ compensation defense including 132a & S & W litigation. His many years of practice has resulted in Kyle appearing before WCAB District Offices in both Northern and Southern California. Kyle is passionate about defending his clients and takes pride in his ability to settle cases effectively and efficiently. He is excited to bring his many years of knowledge and expertise to Young Cohen & Durrett.

Outside of practicing law, Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife and two teen-age sons and being involved in the boy’s school and athletic activities. He enjoys playing golf and going on walks with his dog, Yoshi.
