LINDSEY A. JOHNSON
ATTORNEY
Lindsey is an associate attorney at Young Cohen & Durrett. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Humphreys University Drivon School of Law in Stockton in 2024. During law school she participated in the Callahan Inn of Court where she received invaluable legal mentoring from attorneys and judges serving San Joaquin County. She also served as a legal intern with Stockton and Sacramento attorneys focusing on estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
Prior to her legal career, Lindsey completed a bachelor’s degree in communication from California State University, Stanislaus. She later volunteered as a legal intern for the Senior Law Project, now called the Senior Advocacy Network, a nonprofit organization in Modesto serving the health, social, and legal needs of older adults. Through that experience she was hired at Stanislaus County Superior Court as a legal clerk where she worked until she started law school, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. She regards the timing there to be one of the savviest decisions of her life. That same month she accepted an engagement to her now husband.
Lindsey was admitted to practice in California in December 2024, after passing the July 2024 CA Bar Exam on her first attempt. Her first job brought her full circle back to the Senior Advocacy Network where she handled elder abuse restraining orders, eviction defense, landlord/tenant issues, and foreclosure prevention and defense. Shortly before leaving, she handled an evidentiary hearing regarding financial elder abuse of one of her clients where the judge not only granted the restraining order, but ordered the abuser pay back the client in full the $4,500 they took. Lindsey is known for her passionate advocacy, tenacity, and client relations.
Outside of practicing law, Lindsey loves spending time with her husband, Andrew, who is her equal in many things, like their obsession with pickleball and tennis.
