Steve, a Bay Area native, was raised in Alameda, CA. where he came from a “family of lawyers” and worked at various law firms since high school. After graduating from Alameda High, he moved south to San Diego where he received his B.A. Degree in Political Science from the University of San Diego in 1998 and was on the Dean’s Honor List. He subsequently obtained his J.D. Degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego, CA in 2001.

After graduating law school, he worked for a variety of law firms focusing in general civil litigation in Southern California. In 2002, Steve relocated to the Northern California region where he joined Rahn, Holbrook & Murphy as an associate attorney. Steve became a partner in 2008 and was recently named the managing partner. He has lectured for several workers’ compensation organizations in the Sacramento region, and has provided numerous educational seminars for self-insured employers and third party administrators. His focus on detail, strong organizational skills and “thinking outside the box” mentality enables Steve to aggressively defend claims while simultaneously posturing them for resolution. To that, Steve adds strong communication skills that help him work cordially with opposing counsel to achieve efficient resolution of claims and provide an outstanding client service. Above all, Steve is a family man and values time with his wife and two children.
